Kathleen Schneider is a self-taught artist who enjoys the creative process as much as the finished product. Primarily a watercolorist, she finds life's simple pleasures, people, gardens, landscapes, and still lifes that all tell a story, her favorite subjects. Her style reflects the work of two contemporary painters she admires: Charles Reid for his painting of light and fluid washes, and Ray Hendershot for his texture and detail, and also impressionist Mary Cassatt for her passion for her subjects. Kathleen feels a deep sense of satisfaction when someone is drawn to her work. She and her family presently reside in Camillus, New York where she maintains a studio.
